Picasso's Picnic

Picasso’s Picnic is an annual festival located at The Visual Arts Centre of Clarington in Bowmanville. The organizers and sponsors believe that fostering the arts in our community is important to families, community connections and youth development. The festival has been developed to encourage creativity in young people so they can develop into innovative, creative and inspiring members of our community. The Picnic bring together youth of all ages with their families to The Visual Arts Centre of Clarington to experience a wide range of arts, performers, workshops, young artists and local arts related businesses. The goal is to provide youth of all ages, from toddlers to teens, a full experience of visual arts and performance arts. Kilimanjaro Climb for Epilepsy

In August 2018 a team of Canadian climbers, including Leonard Allen, will climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in an effort to raise $500,000 for epilepsy research. Kim's Climb is named to honour Leonard's sister Kim Allen who died from SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) at age 24. You can help them to reach their goal by sponsoring one of the climbers!
