For more than 20 years, the Bowmanville Rotary Club has been proud to offer our Summer Respite Program to families in our community. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to support so many children and caregivers over the years.
As we look ahead, we are evolving how we deliver this support so that families can access help easier and throughout the year — not only during the summer months.
We know many families planned for and counted on the Summer Respite Care Program each year, and while we will no longer be providing caregivers directly to families, we want to reassure you that Rotary’s commitment to supporting families has not changed. What is changing is the way we deliver that support — with the goal of offering assistance in a more flexible way throughout the year.
Through our Community Service Committee the Bowmanville Rotary Club will offer financial assistance to families to help offset the costs associated with needed supports (ie. respite care, mobility aids) for their child/children.
To request funding we kindly ask families to complete the Funding Request Form, which can be accessed at the following link. Completed forms can be emailed to bowmanville.rotary@gmail.com.
The Bowmanville Rotary Club looks forward to assisting families throughout the year. We will also continue to look for additional ways we can support families in our community with children with exceptionalities.
