01 Nov. 2026 Kids Against Hunger Food Packing Event Nov. 01, 2026 This year's event is being dedicated in memory of our dear friend Fred Mandryk. Over 20 years ago Fred brought the idea of the Kids Against Hunger program to District 7070. Fred was instrumental in organizing many food packing events at various clubs and at District Conferences too. Thanks to Fred's idea Rotarians across District 7070 have packed more than a million meals to date. A pretty amazing accomplishment! My ask…. Since this event is being dedicated in memory of Fred, I feel its very important that as a club we show our support. I would love to see as many members as possible attend this event. Event organizers have asked the following from each club: send at least 20 volunteers (spouses, friends of Rotary, children) to take part 5 - 6 volunteers from each club to assist with the set up - arrival time 7:30 - 7:45am those volunteers not assisting with set up to please arrive by 8:45am important that each club assist with clean up as well Event should wrap up around 12 noon. Lunch will be provided.
